About Me...
I started my DREAM JOB at Lyman Hall in 2010 teaching Wildlife Biology. I am a graduate of Middletown High School's Agricultural Science program where I took classes in all areas of Ag but focused mainly on animal science and natural resources. I worked on a local vegetable farm for my SAE and raised Hampshire and Romney sheep. I moved to Maine for college and was able to become the Maine State FFA Vice President. I learned so much about more about production agriculture and Ag Education. I attended Unity College for two years where I studied Adventure Education Leadership. At the end of my sophomore year I was elected as a State FFA Officer so I transferred to UMaine Presque Isle to be closer to the majority of the FFA chapters. I studied Secondary Science Education at UMPI, but I wasn't able to become certified as an Ag Science teacher through their program so I transferred back home to UConn where I graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources. I went right into a Masters degree program where I earned a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. In 2017 I earned my 6th year degree from the University of St. Joseph in Educational Technology.
I have a young daughter who LOVES everything outside and a husband who also teaches Ag Science. We, along with our dog Dallas, love to paddle, hike and spend time with our families. I love to travel and learn!
I believe all students can be successful with determination (and a growth mindset) and I will do my best to help all of my students reach their goals. I love the natural world, educational technology and sharing both with my students and their families.
